She was a student nurse and a daughter of Maurice Samuel Polak and Estella Arrias (deceased.) Joseph Cohen, twin brother of the bridegroom, and Berend Gustaaf Cohen, cousin of the bridegroom, served as witnesses at the wedding. They signed the marriage certificate.
