Hartog Zwaab was a son of Emanuel Zwaab and Duifje Komkommer. He married 22 April 1924 in Amsterdam to Rebecca Vieijra, daughter of Isaac Vieijra and Judith Braasem. The couple had one daughter: Dora.
Hartog had three other siblings who also have been killed during the Holocaust: 494823, 469020 and 541542.
