Samuel Kattenburg was a son of Jacob Abraham Kattenburg and Beletje Meijer Neeter. He married Schoontje Ossendrijver in 1894 in Amsterdam. She passed away in 1926. They had three children: the here mentioned Jonas, Beletje and Salomon.
