About Lili Bernhard

Lilli Bernhard was a daughter of Hans Bernhard Bernhard and Hilde Eisenheimer.

On 2 April 1936 Lilli Bernard arrived as a German refugee in The Hague, where she lived with her parents. On 26 October the family moved to Groningen. From 9 February 1942 until 24 September 1942 she was a ward at the Paviljoen Loosdrechtse Rade youth aliyah home in Loosdrecht. She returned to Groningen because her parents wanted her to come home. Lilli Bernhard went into hiding; she was caught while in hiding.

The mayor of Loosdrecht requested that Lilli Bernhard, a resident of Loosdrecht who had violated the regulations by changing her place of residence without permission, be located, detained and brought to trial. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
