Alexander Kwetsie was married to Jaantje van Leeuwen. The couple had nine children of which two survived the war. After Jaantje van Leeuwen died, most likely before 1940, Alexander married a second time. With his second wife he had two more children who both survived the war. Emanuel Kwetsie was a grandson of Alexander Kwetsie. Six children of Alexander Kwetsie were murdered in the war: Elisabeth, Isaac, Dina, Nathan, Sara and Jacob. Five grandchildren of Alexander Kwetsie were murdered as well.
