Elisabeth (Betje) de Vries, born in 1850 in Bergen op Zoom, was a daugter of Alexander Jacob de Vries and Jozina (Cina) Simons. On 19 November 1879 she married in Den Haag the widower of Sara Sons, David Wolf, who was born in Hof van Delft on 3 Januari 1843, police officer and and a son of van Levie Wolf and Sara Groen. David Wolf however passed away in Den Haag on 10 May 1925.
Elisabeth and David had seven children, of whom a stillborn son in 1891. The other children were Josephina in 1881, Alexander Isaac in 18982, Israël in 1886, Benjamin in 1888, Samuel Sander in 1890 and Abraham in 1892. Her sons Israël, Benjamin and Samuel Sander were killed in the Shoah.
On 9 May 1943 Elisabeth Wolf-de Vries was registered in Westerbork and locked in in barrack 85. On 11 May she was put on transport to Sobibor and on arrival there on 14 May 1943, immediately killed.
