Siegfried Bastheim

Siegfried Bastheim came to the Netherlands in 1933.

According to the archive in The Hage he lived at Javastraat 138 from 14-11-1933. It notes that he was living with “Broeders”

When his wife and children came over from Dortmund (probably on 24-01-1934) the family lived at Leuvenschestraat 27.

An archive-card of Siegfried can be found in the archive of the city of Amsterdam.
This card mentions that Siegried is a son of Simon Bastheim and Sara Heilbrunn.
He and his family moved from Leuvenschestraat 27 to Bussum, Koningin Emmalaan 11a on 05-02-1941, a few months later they moved to Willemslaan 6a, also in Bussum.

In august 1942 the family was forced to move to Amsterdam, Blauwe Distelweg 18. This is the last known address for this family.

Besides Siegfried Bastheim also some information about a Louis Bastheim can be found in the archives, like Siegfried he also was born in Hofgeismar, Germany. He was born on 04-07-1869, came from Paris to The Hage in august 1934 (Paviljoensgracht 96) and a year later he moved to Amsterdam (Heerengracht 425, in august 1935 he moved to Stadhouderslaan 59). From there he moved to Pittsburg USA in oktober 1936.
