By:

Gerhard Julius and Horst Friedrich came to the Netherlands on November 22nd, 1938: they were one of four children that Truus Wijsmuller-Meijer took from Hamburg that day.
First they stayed in Monster, but in February 1939 they went to the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven.
Horst went to Wieringen in February 1940, Gerhard to the home on the Westersingel in Rotterdam, and after that to a family in Eindhoven.
Gerhard was a gardener, even though his arm had been paralyzed from birth.
When he came to Amsterdam in February 1942 to travel on to Westerbork he had an accident which caused a big wound on his knee. Therefore he stayed in the Jewish hospital for a long time.
Their parents were Martha Blumenthal, born in 1895 in Bromberg, and Richard, born in 1881 in Seesen a Harz.
Last address in Germany: Hamburg, Haydnstr. 23.
