Regina is een dochter van Hartog Hoogstraal en Geertje Nieweg. Ze trouwde 24 oktober 1906 met David Blein (24 jaar), zoon van Simon Blein en Eva Zilversmit.

David Blein was married to Regina Hoogstraal. He and his wife had two children, Hartog Simon and a child who survived the war. The family lived in Hardenberg, where David Blein owned a butchery at 30 Voorstraat. His two children worked with him at the butchery.
