Emilie Zion-Strupp was getrouwd met de uit Eibergen stammende Meijer Zion. Emilie was van Duitse afkomst. Het echtpaar vestigde zich eerst in Enschede en later in Den Haag, waar Meijer kleermaker was.

Dit huwelijk had twee kinderen, Rudolf (geboren Enschede op 12.8.1914) en Elly (Enschede 23.4.1919).  Er bestaan geen familiefotos van hen, waarschijnlijk omdat ze ver van de familie in Eibergen woon…
