Elisabeth Gompers was een dochter of Mozes Gompers and Leentje Rijnveld. She married 19 February 1919 in Amsterdam to Moordes de Vries, son of Manus de Vries and Clara Bilderbeek.

Elisabeth de Vries-Gompers, was brought in the Hollandsche Schouwburg in 1942 and had there a cerebral infarction, after which she was unilaterally paralyzed and had no speech anymore.
