Abraham Korper

Abraham Korper was a communist.

Abraham ('Bram') was a council communist. Emmanuel ('Manie') Korper, also a council communist, was his brother. Bram's wife Rosa Reens (1892-1928) died in childbirth. Her son Rudolf Herman was then raised by Bram's sister. Bram committed suicide, just like Manie. Their sister Sara survived the war.

Most of the information stated in the comment above is incorrect. Bram (Abraham) was a communist and a member of the OSP, like most of the Korpers. But he did not have a brother named Emmanuel, he did have a nephew named Emanuel (1921-1943). Emanuel died in a concentration camp, as did Bram. U heeft gelijk voor wat betreft de overlijdensdatum van Bram Korper. Mijn fout was op Bourrinet te vertrouwen. Waarvoor mijn excuses.
Echter: de Korpers waren in geen geval leden van de OSP (daar heb ik me 10 jaar mee bezig gehouden en ik mag graag denken dat ik daar een beetje verstand van heb). Er waren zoveel leden van de familie Korper radencommunist dat er smalend van de 'korperatie' werd ges…

Bram Korper wordt genoemd in: Dennis Bos, Vele woningen, maar nergens een thuis; Barend Luteraan [1878-1970] (Amsterdam 1996).

Uit een, weliswaar ietwat warrige, politienotitie van 14 mei 1940 is op te maken dat de heer Abraham Korper een zus had met de naam Rosa (Kief-) Korper.
