Meijer Salomons

The Police Commissioner of Arnhem requested that Meijer Salomons, living at 60 Bakkerstraat in Arnhem be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Catharina Sophie van der Heijden (nickname Toos) was the daughter of Carolina Henriëtte van der Heijden-Kan.  She was married to Meijer Salomons. During the war the couple went into hiding. First they had a place in Velp, later they moved to Drente. There they got arrested on 11 March 1944, and were sent to Westerbork and from there to Auschwitz on 23 March 1944.
