Walter Stern was born in Mönchengladbach on the 7th of July 1903. In the thirties he moved to Goch (Germany) and worked as a manufacturer in the "Gocher Leather works" which were owned by his grandfather Ludwig Hartog. In 1939 Walter, his wife Claire and his son Rolf-Peter emigrated from Goch to the Netherlands and lived in Breda. Claire commited suicide in 1942 and Walter died in Mauthausen, 5.9.…
