The mayor of Steenwijk requested that Mannes S. de Groot, a travelling salesman residing at 17 Stationsstraat in Steenwijk, who had violated regulations by changing his place of residence without the required authorization, be located, detained and brought to trial. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
