The Community Jewish Monument is online

The Digital Monument was recently extended with the Community Jewish Monument, an interactive website with many new features. On the Community you can post information about Jews in the Netherlands before, during and after World War II. You can establish family relationships, publish articles and add photographs. All the posted information is immediately visible on the Internet. Through the Community you can contact other users, exchange information and build a network of friends. By doing this, the people from the Digital Monument will again be part of a dynamic vital community.

Wall of Names in Hollandsche Schouwburg gets connected to the Digital Monument

On 11 April, during the commemoration of Yom HaShoah in the Hollandsche Schouwburg in Amsterdam, a new use of the Digital Monument will be unveiled. The wall with names of Dutch Jewish victims is being digitized. By scanning the wall with a small screen the corresponding names in the Digital Monument will appear in the display. In this way digital information gets connected to a physical place.

Previous announcements concerning the Digital Monument can be found in the Archive.
