Herbert Kurt Dobriner

Herbert Kurt came to the Netherlands with a Kindertransport on January 5th, 1939. First he stayed at the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven, then at Huis ten Vijver in Scheveningen, at the boys orphanage in Amsterdam and finally at the facility, set up by the Joodsche Raad, for the Wieringers in the Plantage Franschelaan.
He was deported to Auschwitz on July 15th, 1942.
Herbert Kurt wanted to become a hairdresser. But in Amsterdam he was a student of the AB Davidschool, where he was learning to become a baker.
Herbert Kurt was an illegitimate child, in Berlin he was living with foster parents. His foster parents wanted to emigrate to Bolivia, but they did not have a visa or financial means for the emigration.
His mother's name was Julia Dobriner, born on May 31st, 1890.
