About Salomon van Praagh

Salomon van Praagh was a son of Marcus Salomon van Praagh and Helena Duitz. He married 18 December 1935 in Rotterdam Sara Israëls, a daughter of Lazarus Israëls and Johanna Frank. Salomon and Sara had two children: Helena and Johan Max.

Salomon van Praagh, a commercial traveller, lived at Stationsweg 46 b in Rotterdam and after his marriage in December 1935, also his newly wed wife came to live there. On 4 November 1937 they moved to Van Beuningenstraat 11 in Rotterdam, where both the children were born and where they stayed till they were sent to Camp Westerbork in Octobe 1942.

On 13 October 1942 Salomon van Praagh and his family arrived in Camp Westerbork. On 6 November all were deported to Auschwitz, where upon arrival there on 9 November 1942 Johanna and her children Helena and Johan Max immediately were killed.

Salomon self was selected to do hard labor and eventually, somewhere in Mid Europe he lost his life on 31 March 1944.
