Henriette Rozendal, born in 1898 in Borculo, arrived with her parent ans sister Heintje 1 August 1912 in Zutphen. 15 November 1923 she married there Israël Frankenhuis from Enschede, a son of Heiman Frankenhuis and Sophia Meijer and 6 December she was registered in the Peoples Registry of Ensched and they lived at Oldenzaalschestraat 143. 25 Februari 1925 their daughter Elisabeth Sophie was born; she survived the Holocaust. In the years of 1930, the family Frankenhuis moved to Arnhem, Steijnstraat 11, which was also the last known and legal addres of the surviving daughter.
11 December 1942 Henriette and her husband Israël Frankenhuis were registered in Camp Westerbork. 19 January 1943 they werd moved to barack 69 where they had to stay for 10 days. 29 January 1943 they were deported to Auschwitz. From the official certificates of death from the Gelders Archive, it appears that Israël Frankenhuis was killed in Auschwitz 1 February 1943 and his wife Henriette 2 February 1943. (Henriette was then formally mentioned as widow of Israël Frankenhuis).
