Louis Israel was the son of Marcus Israel and Mina Kellermann. He was married. The couple lived at 319 Vlierboomstraat in The Hague. Louis Israel was a merchant. On 5 September 1943 Louis Israel died at Vught concentration camp.

Louis Israël was ‘shot while trying to escape’ (‘auf der Flucht erschossen’) in Vught concentration camp, because he was supposedly outside the camp’s ‘off-limits zone’ (Sperrzone). His non-Jewish wife survived the war.
