Salomon Marcus Knap, a son of Meijer Filip Knap and Petronella van Rooijen married in the summer of 1942 Cornelia van Tijn, a daughter of Arie van Tijn and Gella de Vries. At the time of his registration with the Jewish Council of Amsterdam on 28 July 1942, his civil status had been taken down however as still "unmarried",

Salomon Marcus Knap and his newly wed wife have been deported from transit camp Westerbork to Auschwitz on 7 August 1942, where both have lost eventually their lives on 30 September 1942
