About Vrougje van Leer-Roos

Vrougje Roos was the daughter of Mozes Roos and Anna Vroom. She had been the widow of Leman van Leer since 30 January 1921. Leman van Leer had previously been married to Froukje Levie, who had died in 1885.
Vrougje Roos and Leman van Leer had five children: Rebekka, Rachel, Grietje (died at a young age), Jakob (died in 1939) and a son who survived the war.
Vrougje van Leer-Roos lived with her daughter Rachel in Meppel from 1935 onward, first on the Vledderstraat and later on the Bankastraat. She died on 10 January 1941. She was the last Jewish person buried at the Jewish cemetery in Meppel.
