Marcus Salomon Knap, a son of Meijer Filip Knap and Petronella van Rooijen married in the summer of 1942 Mietje Henriette van Zanten, a daughter of Abraham van Zanten en Henriette Koster. At the time of his registration with the Jewish Council of Amsterdam on 31 July 1942, his civil status had been taken down however as still "unmarried".
Marcus Salomon Knap and his newly wed wife have been deported from transit camp Westerbork to Auschwitz on 3 August 1942, where eventually both have lost their lives on 30 September 1942
