Dr. Justus Mogendorff was the son of Maurits Mogendorff and Saartje de Jong. He was councillor in Doetinchem. Between Februari and April 1943 he was involved with the 'Villa Bouchina' in Doetinchem. A small number of Dutch Jews were interned at this former vicorage. Justus Mogendorff arranged for two children interned there, that they received education by two discharged Jewish teachers who formerly thought at the Communal Lyceum. Furthermore, Justus Mogendorff provided accomodation for an internee of Westerbork who was on leave. As a result, this internee could visit relatives in Villa Bouchina.
