Isaac Serlui was a son of Mozes Samuel Serlui and Jutte Isaac Pennemacoor. He married Grietje Dingsdag in 1881 in Amsterdam. She died in 1929. They had six children, among whom Catharina (who died young in 1903), Henriette (with whom he lived in 1941), Salomon, Maurits and Samuel.
