Jacob Appelboom was married to Helena Hartog in Amsterdam on October 23, 1907. The couple had nine children: Levie (who died in 1908), Clara (who died in 1911), Andries, Isaäc, Marcus, Alexander, Juda, Selma and one child that survived the war.
