Jozeph Posener and his family

Jozeph Posener worked at Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam before the war. An eyewitness recalls that he was forced to work as a docker in reprisal for the February Strike. Soon after he was taken away, his wife Frederika Posener-de Jong and their son Abraham, also known as Brammie, were picked up at their home. Frederika Posener was a small, thin woman. The Germans wrapped her in a sheet and carried her to the car that stood waiting. A couple of Abraham’s toy dogs were left behind.
