Abraham Polak was a son of Benjamin Moses Polak and Rachel Aandagt. He married on 17 June 1896 in Amsterdam to Grietje Brilleman, daughter of Joseph Brilleman and Branca Broekman. Margaretha de Gorter was a daughter of Samuel de Gorter and Branca Polak and a granddaughter of Abraham Polak and Grietje Brilleman.
