About Levie Hamerslag

Levie Hamerslag was a son of Karel Hamerslag and Esther Godschalk. He had a brother of David Hamerslag.
Levie Hamerslag married Aaltje Wegloop in 1922. Together they had eleven children. One of them died at a young age. Aaltje Wegloop died on 20 June 1941. After the death of their mother Enny, Judith and David lived at the Centraal Israëlitisch Wees- en Doorgangshuis(central Jewish home for orphan…

Levie Hamerslag was een van de joodse knokkers op het Waterlooplein, maandag 10 februari 1941. Bokstrainer Joel 'Joop' Cosman noemt hem in een interview met Evert Werkman. Over Hamerslag zegt hij: "Dat was me er een!"
