Biography

About Andries van Embden, his wife Sara Mok and his children Rebecca, Jozef en Aron.

Sara Mok, a daughter of Izaak Aron Mok and Jeanette Natkiel, married 9 August 1911 in Amsterdam the confectioner Andries van Embden, a son of Barend van Embden and Rebekka Ockersen. The couple had seven children, namely Barend, Jeannette, Izaak, Jacob, Rebecca, Jozef and Aron. All were killed in the Shoah, just like their parents.

Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 3071 / 3540).
