Uit bijgaande verklaring van het Rode Kruis blijkt dat Johnny Asscher werd gedeporteerd van Vught naar Auschwitz. Vandaaruit werd hij te werk gesteld in Langenbielau (Gross Rosen), waarvandaan hij op 24 februari '45 met een ziekentransport vertrok met bestemming Dachau. Hij is zeer waarschijnlijk onderweg overleden.
