Jacob Voorzanger was a son of Mozes Voorzanger and Regina Polak. He married 9 January 1908 in Amsterdam to Dientje Brilleslijper, a daughter of Mozes Brilleslijper and Sara Kramer. The couple had two children: Regina and Mozes Benjamin.
Jacob was born in a family with six children. His brother Leon moved to Antwerp in 1908. His sisters Duifje and Sophia and his brothers Simon and Bernard have been killed during the Holocaust.
