Israel Smeer was a son of Levie Smeer and Grietje Bromet. He lived in at the address of his sister Flora, who was married to Levie Peper. Israel Smeer was unmarried.
Israel Smeer was born in a family with eight children, of whom the last born baby only lived 1 day. His other siblings were Sara, Flora, Sientje, Rozetta, Hendrika and Aron. They too were all killed during the Holocaust.
