About Israel Majer Fiesler

Israël Majer Fiesler was married to Masche Nachtgeist. Originally from Poland, they settled in Rolde in 1925. Their son Aron Simon was born there. The family lived at 17 Nooitgedacht.

Israël Majer Fiesler traded yarn and ribbons. The family observed Jewish traditions. Israël Majer did not work on the Shabbat. On Jewish holidays the family went to the shul in Assen.

On the eve of the deportations twelve Jews lived in Rolde. The village constable arranged for them to brought to Westerbork on 2 October 1942.
