Jonas Cardozo was a son of Mozes Cardozo and Clara Bierman. He married in Amsterdam on 26 August 1908 to Esther Rood, who passed away in Venlo on 16 June 1939.
The couple had 5 children: Rebecca, Maurits, Salomon, Clara and a son who died only 4 months old.
