Esther Schelvis was a daughter of Mozes Schelvis and Marianne Wurms. She married 6 April 1910 in Amsterdam to Hartog Brilleslijper, son of Jonas Brilleslijper and Naatje Mol. Hartog and Esther had one son together: Mozes.
Hartog however passed away already on 25 November 1913, only 24 years old. Esther remarried then 1 December 1920 to Jacob Pots, son of Ruben Pots and Frederika Busnach. Together Esther and Ruben had another son Ruben.
