Sara Smeer was a daughter of Levie Smeer and Grietje Bromet. She married 19 January 1927 in Amsterdam to Ruben Neeter, a son of Samuel Neeter and Aaltje Brilleman.
Sara Smeer was born in a family with eight children, of whom the last born baby only lived 1 day. Her other siblings were Flora, Sientje, Rozetta, Hendrika, Israel en Aron. They too were killed during the Holocaust.
