About Philip Schwarz

The Police Commissioner of Winterswijk requested that Philip Schwarz, cattle merchant by trade, his wife Madelena Henriette Schwarz-Meijers, their daughter Mathilde Rosette Schwarz and their son Robert Louis Schwarz, all living in Winterswijk, be located, detained and brought to trial. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Description of Philip Schwarz: 'Height approx. 4'11", short heavy figure, dark hair, dark appearance, Jewish type, no distinguishing marks'.

Description of Madelena Henriette Schwarz-Meijers: 'Height approx. 5'1", ordinary figure, dark appearance, black hair, no distinguishing marks, Jewish type'.
