About Abraham Schijveschuurder

Abraham Schijveschuurder was a son of Mozes Schijveschuurder and Esther Hammelburg. He married 5 August 1909 in Amsterdam to Marianne de Jongh, a daughter of Leon de Jongh and Rachel de Magtige. His wife most likely died before the war. The couple had four children, of whom one son died in childhood. Their other children were Esther, Lion and Rachel, who, whith their parents, moved in 1927 to Borgerhoud (Antwerp).
His father Mozes married, as the widower of Esther Hammelburg, in 1911 to Naatje Gompers, the widow of Abraham Content.
Siblings, who also have been killed during the Holocaust were Leendert, Salomon and Grietje. His sister Rebecca died already in 1908, aged 16.
Abraham Schijveschuurder self, was deported from Drancy in France with convoy 51 to the extermination camp of Maidanek near Lublin in Poland on 6 March 1943 and probably killed there upon arrival.
