About Isaak Kurt Niedermann

Isaak Kurt Niedermann belonged to a group of young German Zionists who came to Assen to work in Zeijerveld in Drente with farmers to prepare for farm life in Palestine. They were known as Palestine pioneers. He fled to Deventer, where the main office of the Palestine pioneers was located. The Westerweel group helped Isaak Kurt Niedermann find a place to hide with A. van Hoorn in Gorssel.

The mayor of Assen published a request for information regarding the whereabouts of Isaak Kurt Niedermann, an apprentice welder. He resided in Assen and was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Isaak Kurt Niedermann was caught and deported via Westerbork.
