The police commissioner of Tiel requested that Jozef Bartels, an office clerk, residing at 6 Dr. Kuijperstraat in Tiel, be located, detained and brought to trial. 'Bartels, who is of Jewish parentage, was assigned to the Witte Brink labour camp at Hummelo. He did not go there and has been missing since 28 August 1942.' This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
