Nathan Dusseldorp and his family

Nathan Dusseldorp was married to Beatrice Justien de Jong. They had a son, Abraham Jules. In 1939 the family settled at 16 Grotestraat in Ootmarsum. Jeannette Heertje-Sanders lived with them.

When the local school boards had to report the number of Jewish students at their school in 1941, only one Jewish student attended school in Ootmarsum: Abraham Jules Dusseldorp. He was enrolled at the Roman Catholic School for boys on the Denekamperstraat. On 28 August 1941 the mayor of Ootmarsum was ordered to remove Abraham Jules Dusseldorp from school and send him to Enschede to continue his education.
